Includes current design standards, e.g. EN 1992-4 and EOTA TR 054 for the dimensioning of steel and bonded anchors in concrete as well as injection systems for anchoring in masonry. The anchor design in concrete can be performed either assuming a rigid base plate following a linear strain distribution or considering realistic stiffness conditions using a spring modeling approach.
The linear spring model combined with a finite-element approach allows the determination of anchor forces of group fixings. This allows the comparison between anchor forces of linear force distribution and realistic anchor forces.
The calculation is conducted with the well-established finite element software RFEM® by Dlubal® in the background of our servers. The modelling and verifications are performed as usual in C-FIX Online.
To check and fulfill the requirements (assumption of a stiff base plate) the anchorage can be optimized by the following parameters:
To spring model
Designs with the spring model are available in C-FIX Online only. A registration in myfischer portal is required. A license fee is charged for the spring model tool.
The anchor design assuming a rigid base plate is possible without a license for free at any time. With the free version the anchor loads are calculated following a linear strain distribution (analog to Bernoulli hypothesis) and the requirements of the current design standards are fulfilled. An additional stiffness check might be required. The simplified steel stress verification is available without a license.
